Dyneema materials are characterized by ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). Dyneema is known as the strongest fiber in the world—15 times stronger than steel.

The material is controlled by the United States Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and classified as (ECCN) 1C990 (Export Control Classification Number). Export of this product is prohibited to North Korea, Syria, Iran, Cuba, Sudan, and for military purposes to Russia, Venezuela, and China. Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in legal consequences.
